We have a bassin filled with two immiscible fluids. The lower layer consists of bluish dyed water, and the upper layer is silicon oil M3 that is colored red.
The wave excitation is done by the body on the right side, that moves vertically up and down in a harmonic manner. That will, of course, produce waves and depending on how quickly this is done, you can achieve certain modes of internal and external standing wave pattern.
